I think it’s time for an update, don’t you think? After a not-so -gentle reminder from Jen H., I decided I better get my blog updated! Thanks Jen :) I can’t really believe my last blog was back in November. Oops…

Anyway, the holidays flew by as they always do and I loved every minute of them! Lots of fun times with friends and family. As always though, by the time the holiday season ended I was ready to get back to my “normal” life. This time of year is one of my favorite parts of triathlon season. Weird, I know! There really isn’t much going on but that’s why I like it.  Nothing to do but train. There are no distractions, motivation is high, and I’m never in race shape so I get to see lots of progress. This winter has been a bit more challenging training-wise since it’s been uncharacteristically cold but I’m surviving... barely… nothing that a few weeks in Australia won’t cure(more on that later!). Other than the cold, training has been going well. I started with a new coach this year and the training has been different and fun and feels like a step in the right direction. My race season is coming together nicely although it’s not 100% there yet. Not that it needs to be but I like to have a good plan going into the season.

Anyway, I can’t believe it’s the end of January already. I’ve managed to squeeze in one ski day so far and I have one more ski trip planned in February up to Vermont with my aunt and her friends. I even talked my husband into skiing with me. He might regret it by the end…ha!
